Unison Arts Open Mic

Oct 18, 2009 | Shows

I’ve always been interested in the programs at the Unison Arts and Learning Center, in New Paltz, New York. Their web site highlights an array of workshops, performances and gallery exhibitions. John and Nancy DeNicolo host an open mic session on the third Sunday of every month. The Unison Theatre is a clean, well-lit space with an excellent sound system. Due to the popularity of the event time only allows each person two songs, so I chose to play Front Door Blues and You & Me. The nice part about this open mic is that beginners or seasoned veterans are encouraged to sign-up and enthusiastically supported by the audience.

Weather theme at the John St. Jam

May 31, 2009 | Shows

It was a beautiful afternoon in Saugerties for our pre-gig get together. The weather was on everyone’s mind as we swapped stories and songs in preparation for this 5th Saturday theme night. Many thanks to those who make the John Street Jam possible and providing us the opportunity to grow as performers and to be inspired by so many talented musicians, singers and songwriters. Last night’s show had it all.

Live at the Library

It was great to share a night of music on Saturday with Jeff Entin and my friend, John Wirtz. Thank you, Julie, for inviting me to play the “Live at the Library Series.”
